Local Danish radio station smashes revenue targets

A local Danish radio station has managed to fend off a soft economy and double their annual revenue in a 10-week period. All this was achieved by implementing NRS Media’s seasonal revenue acquisition solution for radio – Impact Plus™.

Radio Sydhavsøerne is an award-winning local Danish radio station that is part of the Folketidende Gruppen – a strong local media house with interests in press and online, as well as radio.

The station realised that to survive the negative effects of the current economic slowdown they needed new advertisers.

So how did an already creative and innovative media company attract new advertisers and double their annual revenue in less than 10 weeks?

A Problem Shared...

Radio Sydhavsøerne decided to partner with NRS Media, with the aim of attracting an additional 40 new advertisers.

The radio station implemented NRS Media’s Impact Plus™ new advertiser acquisition solution, which has the dual benefits of appealing to new advertisers, combined with the flexibility of seasonal advertising.

The support of management and the whole team led to the station needing to expand the number of available memberships.

An Outstanding Result

The results surpassed expectations. Radio Sydhavsøerne gained 110 new advertisers – almost three times their original target – and doubled their annual revenue.
